This guide explains how to safely disconnect all stores and fully delete an integration between your shelter software and AME. This process ensures that no integrated animal remains visible by accident and that all data is handled securely.

Step-by-Step: How to Disconnect an Integration
Go to the Integration Menu
Navigate to Settings > Integration.
From the list, identify the integration you want to remove.
Disconnect Each Store
Click on the Stats button for each connected store.
A drawer will open on the right.
Click Disconnect, then confirm the action ithat appears in the modal.
Delete the Integration
Once all stores have been disconnected:
Go to the Authentication tab.
Click Edit Credentials.
Click Delete Integration, then confirm.
Integration Successfully Removed
Once the integration is deleted, AME will return to the “No Integrations Active” screen.

Q1: Why can’t I delete an integration right away?
To protect your data, AME requires that you disconnect all stores first. This prevents accidental deletion while animals are still active in stores.
Q2: What happens to animals after I delete the integration?

All available pets will disappear from the system.

Pets in process or completed will remain.

If an in-process adoption is canceled, the animal will also disappear.
Q3: Can I reconnect later?
Yes! After deleting an integration, you can return to the Integration menu and create a new one at any time.
Q4: Will I lose my previous integration settings?
Yes. Once deleted, the integration setup cannot be recovered. You’ll need to re-authenticate and reconnect stores from scratch.
