Overview

AME automatically manages the syncing of pet records from your shelter software to each connected PetSmart store. However, if you notice that animals are not appearing as expected, you can check the sync status of any store to help identify potential issues.

When to Check Sync Status

While AME handles syncing in the background, checking the sync status can be helpful if:

  • An animal from your shelter isn’t showing up in the system

  • You want to verify that a specific store connection is active and up to date

  • You’re updating credentials and want to confirm that sync has resumed

Steps to Check Sync Status

Go to the Integration Menu

Navigate to Settings > Integration.

Open the “Connections” Tab

Select the Connections tab for the integration you wish to review.

Click “Stats” Next to the Store

You can find the store you want to look at and click Stats.

  • A drawer will open, showing:

    • Connection status (Connected or Inactive)

    • 📅 Last sync timestamp

    • 🔘 Option to Disconnect the store, if needed

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Do I need to monitor sync status regularly?

No. AME manages syncing automatically. However, checking the sync can be useful if an animal is unexpectedly missing.

Q2: What does “Last Sync” indicate?

It shows the most recent time AME successfully synced data from the shelter software for that store.

Q3: Can I force a sync manually?

Not at this time. AME syncs automatically every hour. If issues occur, check credentials and store connections.

Q4: What if a store hasn’t synced recently?

Try checking:

  • That your authentication credentials are correct

  • That the location-store connection is still active

  • Whether animals exist at that shelter location

  • Connect to AMESupport
