Why aren't dangerous dog licenses available via the online service?

This applies ONLY to licenses with a "Dangerous Animal Category" assigned.

In most cases, animals that have been declared "dangerous" under local law acts will have specific restrictions placed on them: special tags, collars, or the requirement of inspection for containment.

For this reason, any animal flagged as a "Dangerous" animal cannot have a license applied for or renewed via the Online service, but only via the in-person method (through Shelter Buddy).

If you issue reactive animal licenses and do not require any special conditions to be met, and you would like them to be available via your Online service, then we recommend you label the license "Reactive" via the Description and do not mark it as a dangerous animal.
